To become approved to provide Power Line Hazards Certification Training an individual must supply evidence that they meet the standards as prescribed by the Commission’s Power Line Hazards Certification Training Standards.
To become approved you must:
- complete a Power Line Hazards Certification Training session from a trainer approved by the Commission;
- complete the Power Line Hazards Certification Trainer’s Course as provided by the Commission and
- demonstrate knowledge and experience in the areas of electricity and adult education techniques
or other training, knowledge and experience as approved by the Commission.
The Commission will provide the Power Line Hazards Trainers’ Course at different locations and times throughout the year depending on demand. If you wish to be on the wait list for this course complete the Power Line Hazards Trainers’ Course Application Form and forward it to the Commission by mail or fax it to 778-1564.
A trainer can not provide training unless he/she is working for an approved provider registered with the Commission. A trainer, such as an independent private consultant, can apply to have his/her consulting company approved as a provider with him/her as the trainer. For a provider to become approved and registered with the Commission the Training Provider Registration Form must be completed. Please read the form carefully, complete in full, and forward it to the address provided on the form or fax to 778-1564.
