The Commission uses an on-line drug prescription program accepted at pharmacies across the province. Once the Commission accepts a work-related illness or injury, the worker is entitled to appropriate prescription drugs through this on-line system.
Our prescription drug program ensures workers receive timely and quality service and the Commission only pays for prescription drugs appropriate and necessary to treat the work-related condition.
Each claim is assigned to a drug formulary determined by the nature and severity of a worker’s injury. Prescriptions are dispensed using an on-line adjudication and payment system and medications are provided to the claimant at no charge. The Commission reimburses the pharmacy. For more information, view our prescription drug program brochure.
