WHSCC reports workplace injury rates for 2011
ST. JOHN’S – The number of workplace injuries resulting in lost-time compensation claims in 2011 remained consistent with 2010, with 4,070 workers injured, representing 1.8 incidents per 100 workers, the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (the Commission) announced today. The lost-time incidence rate over the past two years is the lowest rate recorded since the current measuring format was put in place. Read more.
Interest-Free Payment Plan
All employers who have met the reporting requirements can now avail of an interest-free payment plan to pay their current year assessment over a nine-month period from April 1 to December 31 by pre-authorized debit (PAD). Employers can choose the payment frequency as weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly or quarterly. To ensure your payments are made on time and that your account remains in good standing, you can also sign a PAD Agreement Form.
2011 Annual Employer Statements
Employers can still submit their 2011 Annual Employer Statements (AES) online through connect. The deadline for reporting has passed but the service will remain open until June 30 for those who still need to submit their statements...Go here to file your statements online
